A special lecture on `Recombinant Vaccine Preparation and Mode of Action’ was organised at the Adhiparasakthi College of Arts and Science at Kalavai on Wednesday.
Sugumar Parthasarathi, Senior Scientist, Indian Immunological Limited, Hyderabad at a special lecture. He stressed the significance of recombinant vaccines in modern medicine in treating disorders.
Dr. Parthasarathi gave an introduction to the basic principles of immunology, recombinant DNA technology and vaccines, and the therapeutic applications of recombinant vaccines. He spoke about the development of vaccines for nero-cysticercosis disease, a brain disorder.
Along with the senior faculty members, more than 200 students attended the lecture.
