Street Drama on removal of Caste bias – Revenue Officer inaugurates in Vellore!

Revenue officer Mr. Manivannan inaugurated the street drama creating awareness on the need to eradicate caste bias.

Tamil Nadu State government has ordered for the joint efforts of Educational Institutions & the Police Department to organise street drams to create an awareness to create casteless society.

It was decided to conduct street drams for this awareness programme at 7 places in Vellore – Old Bus terminus, Ananthalai, simukkappattu, Thirupathur, Vaniyambadi Town, panappakkam, and Karivedu.

Accordingly, the first street drama was conducted at Vellore Old Bus terminus yesterday (Wednesday, 10th June) as apart of creating awareness.

Revenue Officer, Mr. Manivannan, presided and inaugurated the performance. Additional Primary Education officer Ms. Kasthuribhai led.

8 artistes, trained at district & state level, participated in the street drama. They presented the programme stressing the importance o casteless society through songs & plays.

Local senior officials participated.

It was announced that the street drama willber performed in 6other places in Vellore as scheduled.
