Drinking water supply from Ponnai will be suspended for three days from 27th November till 29thNovember owing to pipeline repair works.
The Vellore Corporation has informed that the pumping mainline carrying water from the Ponnai main pumping station to Vellore was damaged near Perumugai.
A 600 mm diameter pipe is required for repair works.
The repair works will be taken up during the above three days
Water supply will be suspended in areas getting water form Ponnai.
It will resume after three days.
