You can now pay auto fare by swiping your debit or credit card.This is one of the features of ‘Makkal Auto’ which will be launched on Monday at Dr MG R Janaki College in Adyar.

A Mansoor Ali Khan, founder and chairman of Makkal Auto, said they will launch 100 autorickshaws which includes 25 women-only autos. “All these autos will follow the government’s fixed rates,” he said. ‘Makkal Auto’ is also equipped with GPS tracking and 3G data communication.
