Since the students are getting distracted by use of cell phones and messaging in school premises, the Tamil Nadu Government has issued an order imposing a ban on the use of cell phones by students within school premises. An increasing number of students were busy sending SMSs instead of concentrating on studies. Girl students were being harassed with obscene messages and students were getting distracted in classrooms listening to music with cell phones.
Now with the ban, students would show more interest in studies.
