Tamil Nadu Government Health minister Dr C Vijayabhaskar on Wednesday inaugurated an event to mark World Cancer Day at Government General Hospital.Speaking at the programme, he said that two months ago an intensive care ward exclusively for cancer patients was set up in the cancer care department. At least 2,000 patients have availed the radiation therapy under the CM’s comprehensive health insurance scheme at the hospital, he said.
