Tamil Nadu Government invites rural interior cable TV operators to join internet project

Tamil_Nadu_EmblemThe state government of Tamil Nadu has extended an invitation to all rural interior cable TV operators to join the ‘Internet in every home’ project announced by the Chief Minister.

 

 

 

 

A brief on the press relapse from the government:

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. Jayalalithaa reorganized the Tamil; Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company, breathed new life into it and inaugurated the cable TV service throughout other districts of Tamil Nadu except Chennai on 2nd September, 2011.

The prime purpose of this project is to provide cable TV facility at reasonably lower rates with good quality.

In an announcement made in the Legislative Assembly under Act 119, the Chief Minister declared that Tamil Nadu Arasu TV Company will provide internet connectivity to every home at lower costs and good quality under the ‘Internet in every home’ project. The Chief Minister mentioned that broadband services at high-speeds would be provided along with other internet services apart from the cable TV facility.

Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company will implement this project joining hands with the local rural cable TV operators.

Central government has given the licence to Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company to install broadband services and other internet services throughout Tamil Nadu.

The rural cable TV operators interested in joining the project will have to visit the website of Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Company: www.tactv.in and login.

They have to select the option ‘Internet Services’ and register their names and other details.

The registration can be carried out between 10.00 AM & 5.00 PM on 5th October, 2015.
