TN Department of Education: Half-yearly Examinations to Commence on 11th January

Tamil Nadu Government’s Department of Education has announced that the half-yearly examinations for school students will commence on 11^thJanuary.

Due to the incessant heavy rains & floods in Tamil Nadu from the last week of November till the 1^st 2 weeks of December, with plenty of holidays declared, the half-yearly examinations were postponed.

Now, the date for the excaminations to start has been set as 11^th January.

The Director of the Department of Education, Mr. Kannappan, has warned that if any schools choose to begin the half-yearly examinations before 11^th January, strict disciplinary action will be taken on those schools.
