The idol of Goddess Swarnalakshmi made of 70 kg gold placed in the Deepa Mandapam of the Sri Lakshmi Narayani Temple in Sripuram here for public worship on April 10.
The temple to be built at a cost of about Rs. 10 crore would be 108 feet long and 90 feet wide. It would be a traditional granite temple which would be built incorporating all the features of south Indian temple architecture.
Maha Abhishekam of Swarnalakshmi kept at the Deepa Mandapam will be performed at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The devotees themselves would be allowed to perform the Abhishekam from 11 a.m. on April 11 onwards.
