Due to a fault in an electric train near Arkonam, it was stopped on the track. Because of this, Trivandrum Super-fast express was also stopped and was 20 minutes late.
An electric train which was proceeding from Chennai to Arkonam on Friday (17th April) afternoon was travelling in the section between Senjipanampakkam & Manavur stations. The train suddenly developed a problem in the brake system. It was stopped. Chennai-Trivandrum super-fast express, which was following behind, also had to be stopped.
The fault in the electric train was rectified on a temporary basis and the train travelled at 10 km per hour speed till Thiruvalankadu station and stopped on a different track.
Following this, Trivandrum super-fast express got 20 minutes late.
.With workers rectifying the fault at Thiruvalankadu station, the electric train resumed and proceeded to Arkonam half-an-hour late.
