Vellore district collector informed that free household consumer items like grinders, mixies and fans have been distributed to 6,57.604 families in the last 4 years.

As promised during the election campaign, Jayalalithaa announced the distribution scheme for free grinders, mixes, and fans for housewives.
The scheme was inaugurated on Anna’s Birthday, on 15thSeptember, 2011.
IN Vellore distract, starting from 15th September, 2011 till 24thAugust, 2015, 6,57,604 families with family cards have been given free grinders, mixies, and fans under his scheme.
So far, the distribution of these free household items has been carryout in 4 phases.
46000 families from Arkonam constituency, 59093 families from Sholingur constituency, 39894 families from Katpadi,599579 familes from Ranipettai constituency, and 56424 families from Aroct constituency have received above free items.
54017 families from Vellore constituency, 47265 families from Dam constituency, 44102 families from KV Kuppam constituency,61152 families from Gudiyatham constituency, 47794 families from Vaniyambadi constituency 46519 families from Ambur constituency, 49324 families from Jolarpettai constituency, and 46041 families from Thirupathur constituency, totalling 13 constituencies, and then including 806 revenue village & corporation wards, account for 57604 families being given the above free household items.
