35 women were trained by the Chennai Corporation on Monday to take over canteen outlets opened in State run buildings.The women were given lessons about cleanliness, hygiene and cooking with an LPG stove (many of the women have experience with wood burning stoves only). Around 200 canteens are expected to be open by March 31st.
