World Hockey League: India-Pakistan match drawn!

hockey1World Men’s Hockey League semi-final round matches are being played in Belgium.

10 teams are divided into 2 groups to play league matches.

In a match payed under group A, India & Pakistan played. The first 10 minutes of play was quite aggressive from both teams.

Strong spectator support triggered the players’ enthusiasm. Indian player Ramndeep Singh scored a goal in 15th minute.

At the 23rd minute, Pakistan was offered a penalty kick as the ball touched the feet of an Indian player in the goal area.

Pakistan player Mohammad Imran converted this into a goal. He scored another goal in the 37th minute bringing cheers to

Pakistan. Howver, this did not last long as Ramandeep Singh of India scored his 2nd goal in the 39th minute and levelled the scores.

No more goals were scored till the end of play and the match ended as a draw at 2-2.

India, which has already assured itself a place in the quarter-finals, got 7 points from its league matches (2 wins & 1 draw). Pakistan got 4 points (1 win, 1 loss, and 1 draw).

India meets Australia in its last league match tomorrow (Sunday, 28thJune).
