World Record set by Mumbai School Student:1009 Not Out

50451299Mumbai’s school student, 15-years old Master Pranav Dhanaved, has created an all-time world record becoming the first-ever batsman to score more than 1000 runs in a single innings!

 

 

 

The domestic cricket competition among the schools, H D Bandhari Cup, is being organised under the Mumbai Cricket Association.

In one of the matches, K C Gandhi High School & Arya Gurukul School played.

 

 

K C Gandhi High School, which batted first, piled up the runs. Batsman Pranav annihilated all bowlers. He played steadily scoring fast, and quiote unbelievably, crossed 1000 runs in a single innings!

 

K C Gandhi High School declared its innings closed when the score was 1465 runs for 3 wickets!

 

Pranav remained not out till the end scoring 1009 runs off 323 balls. This included 129 4’s & 59 6’s.

 

It must be mentioned that even as Pranav scored 629 on the first day, it was already a world record. No batsmen has ever scored so much in any form of cricket in the world!

 

Pranav has beaten a 117-year old record!

 

Pranav is a 10th standard student. His father is an auto-rickshaw driver. He was present when Pranav scored his 100th run and was delighted.

 

Mahrashtra Government’s Minister for education, Mr. Vinod Davate, has announced that the state government will bear all the educational and cricket training expenses for Pranav.
