New Zealand advanced to the final of the World cup cricket for the first ever time.
The 1st semi-final of the World Cup cricket between South Africa & New Zealand was played on Tuesday, 24th March at Auckland.
South Africa won the toss and chose to bat.
With interruptions due to rain, the match was reduced to 43 overs preside. South Africa scored 281 runs for 5 wickets.
As per Duckworth calculations, New Zealand was set a target of 298 runs in 43 overs.
The match was exciting till the last moment. New Zealand scored the winning runs with only one ball remaining to register a 4-wicket win in a thrilling finish.

South Africa has lost in the semi-finals for the 4th time in World Cup and the team makes a sad return trip.

The 2nd semi-final World Cup Cricket Match between India & Australia will be played on Thursday, 26th March at Sydney.
The winner of this match will play with New Zealand in the final scheduled on 29th March at Melbourne.
