Major trade unions will go on strike after talks with the Government failed yesterday in New Delhi. After a meeting with senior leaders of the government, central trade union leaders refused to postpone their 2-day strike.

However, autos will run in Mumbai on Thursday due to the start of the HSC exams.

Rajnikanth visited actor Mohan Babu to condole his father’s death. Mr. Babu’s father Narayanaswamy died last week.

Mr. Rajnikanth drove till the Telugu actor’s house near tirupati. Mr. Mohan Babu’s house is situated near the Sri Vidya Niketan Educational trust that he owns.

The Malaysian government which banned the screening of the mega-budget film Vishwaroopam, has ordered to lift the ban from Tuesday.

The film which had become controversial was banned in Tamil Nadu under Sec.144 was finally allowed to be screen in theaters in the TN State after an amicable accord was reached between the producer-actor Kamal Hassan and some Muslim outfits.
