Young voters hold the key to improve polling percentage in any democratic election, according to P. Gunasekharan, Vice-Chancellor of the Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore.Speaking at National Voters’ Day celebrations here on Friday, he said the role of youth in achieving a better polling percentage in elections was witnessed in the Assembly elections held in Gujarat last year where the percentage of youth among voters had increased from 25 (in the previous election) to 90 in Ahmedabad alone.
