The guards who worked in the 6th Battalion Guards’ Regiment 30 years ago had a get-together meet at Vellore.
The guards who met served in several places throughout Tamil Nadu.
The meeting was conducted at Teachers’ Home, Vellore when the soldiers who worked 30 years ago at the 6th Battalion Guards’ Regiment gathered.
Retired captain Smapath presided on the occasion.
Retired Major Prabhakaran was the Chief Guest and addressed the gathering.
We are all meeting here after having worked together 30 years ago.
We should continue to be together to help each other as before. We should cooperate to ensure all benefits to military service should reach every one.
Whenever, there is a natural disaster in India, we should offer our maximum help to the government.
We should also prepare our children to join military service.
Most of the ex-military servicemen & their families live in poor conditions. We have to come forward to help them.
Over 100 ex-military personnel participated and exchanged nostalgia!
