It is gathered that there are about 12 Crore uses of broadband internet connection. With this internet connection, it is estimated that around 5 Crore users order items online and buy.
A statistical data points that 5,5 Crore persons had ordered and bought items online in India in the year 2015.
Meanwhile, one of the forefront e-traders, Flipkart, in a press release today (Wednesday, 30th March) has informed that it has over 7.5 Crore persons registered as permanent customers.
Out of these, 50% customers are from small towns and rural areas.
In this regard, Flipkart mentions that the number of online shoppers in India is increasing every day following the trend in America & China.
Flipkart points out that this reflects the trust of the people in online trading.
