Applications can be sent for writing SLET for Qualifying for the Posts of Assistant Professors

GetArticleImageSLET – State Level Eligibility Test – for qualifying for the posts of assistant Professors in colleges & universities is scheduled to be conducted on 21st February.

 

 

 

 

Candidates who are post-graduates or students who are scheduled to appear in their final examinations of post-graduate courses are eligible to write SLET.

 

 

A pass in the examinations NET or SLET is necessary for joining the posts of Assistant Professor.

 

CBSE conducts NET twice a year during June & December. SLET is conducted by any of the universities in the states based on requirement.

 

SLET has not been conducted in the state of Tamil Nadu over the last 3 years. In this scenario, UGC has entrusted Kodaikkanal Mother Theresa University the responsibility to conduct SLET for 3 years from 2016 to 2018.

 

Following this, Mother Theresa University has announced the details of SLET.

As per this, SLET is scheduled to be conducted on 21st February in different centres in the state of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Trichy.

 

Post-graduate in Tamil, English, History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, Psychlogy, and Law are eligible to apply for SLET. Minimum 55% marks is essential.

 

For candidates belonging to BC, MBC, Sc, ST, and differently-abled category, a concession is given on the minimum marks as 50% instead of 55%.

 

There is no ‘age-limit’ for writing SLET.

 

Students who are in their final yesr of post-graduation course can also apply.

 

The syllabus for SLET is the same as prescribed for CBSE & CSIR NET.

SLET examination Board has announced that all eligible candidates can apply online before 10th February.
