Battle Training for 300 Army Recruits

Three hundred (300) Army Recruits are being given battle training at Melur, Vellore district.

New cadets were recruited by the Indian Army from all over the country 6 months ago.

These new recruits are given 1 year training on various activities.

Six months’ training was given at the Military Training School, Ooty. After this, the next 6 months’ training is given in the village of ‘A Kattuppatti’ near Melur on tracking battle activities in mountainous terrains.

The training for the 300 recruits (both men & women), who arrived recently, started yesterday, 26th November.

More than 100 Army officials have arrived for imparting the training.

Various techniques to be adopted during the war in mountainous terrains are explained during the training.
