Farmers face power outages constantly and this affects their crops a lot. The good news now is that solar power will be used going forward to pump water. The Tamil Nadu government has planned to set up 2,000, 5 HP solar photovoltaic pumping systems, each having 4800 wp capacity. This will be implemented in all the regions of Tamil Nadu.
The SPV module will be coming with 25 year warranty and there will be a complete maintenance for five years for the pumping systems. The government has planned to offer the project to the successful bidder. If the bidder fails to deliver the goods on time he will be penalized.
