Indian shooter Heena Sidhu on Wednesday earned a quota place for this year’s Olympic Games in Rio after winning the gold medal in women’s 10-metre air pistol event of the ongoing Asia Olympic Shooting Qualifiers, which is also an Olympic qualifying event, at the Karni Shooting Range.
Heena, the first Indian pistol shooter to be ranked number one, is the ninth shooter to win an Olympic quota for the country so far.
