With the recent heavy rains in the Bairappalli Kappukkattu region near Ambur, the weir (small dam), in Kocheri got filled.
The recent heavy rains resulted in floods. There was rain throughout last Wednesday night which helped the dam to be full.
Following this, it is exp[ected that the groundwater level in the nearby areas will rise. This will also ensure sufficient water for the cattle which come for grazing and also the wild animals in the forest area.
