On Sunday, the collapse of a portion of the roof of an asbestos-roofed theatre in Ramakapettai in Tirupattur.
Three persons were killed and five others injured in the roof collapse during the evening show on Saturday.
Vellore District Collector P. Sankar who inspected the theatre on Saturday night had asked the PWD and the Tirupattur Sub-Collector to enquire into the collapse and submit a report to him.
Mr. Sankar said that the Sub Collector distributed a solatium of Rs. 1.5 lakh each to the families of the deceased persons on Sunday.
