Opposite to the erstwhile National Theatre on the Katpadi road, a stormwater drain is getting constructed. As of now, the cost spent towards the project is about seventy five lakh rupees and this comes under the integrated urban development mission for the year 2012-13. Most portions of the work are now completed.
On Thursday, the project was inspected by the mayor of Vellore – P.Karthiyayini together with E.Devakumar, the corporation engineer. During the inspection, they stated that almost 400 meters of the construction got over out of the total length of 400 meters.
