Vellore medicos say no to compulsory rural service

GVMCOn Thursday, Students of Government Vellore Medical College (GVMC) sported black badges to express their protest to the compulsory rural service.

 The students gathered in front of the administrative block, wore black badges on their dress, staged a demonstration and went back to their respective work.

The government notified the recruitment for 900 medical officer posts in rural Primary Health Centres recently, about 4,500 doctors applied for those 900 posts.
