The major issue discussed during the corporation’s council meet on Monday was about water supply problem. Several counselors wanted extended supply of water for their respective wards. The councillor of ward 31. R Sathyamoorthy complained stating that the hand pumps were malfunctioning since a long time and that the contractors who were set to repair these pumps were not making use of good quality materials.
He also suggested that these contractors can be used only for fitting the pumps and that the corporation should take care of the actual purchase of materials.
