The film’s director, producer and lead actor, Mr. Kamal Haasan said that an ‘amicable settlement’ was reached in the tripartite talks between Rajkamal Films, the State Government and members of Muslim outfits. He has agreed to mute seven scenes in the film and the editing will be done in the US.

The road restoration work on 15 km Arakkonam-Sholinghur stretch began on Saturday.Re-laying the road was one of the long-pending demands of the people of the area.Residents said the road has not been re-laid for the past 10 years and giving road users a bumpy ride. The last two years was the worst, they added. Following repeated complaints from the public, Arakkonam MLA S Ravi took up the matter with the State government, which allocated `11 crore for the road restoration work.
