On Friday ‘Pasumai’ Agricultural Mechanisation Association, formed with 16 youngsters as members in Vellore district as per the orders of Tamil Nadu Government, received Rs. 15 lakh worth modern agricultural equipment.
In Vellore district, the association has been formed and all its 16 members were given six months training on operation and maintenance of modern agricultural equipment. In order to ensure the association works in all parts of the district, it has been divided in to four subcommittees. The association has been given four power tillers and equal number of weeders and planters at 100 per cent subsidy.
