The district sports official has informed that a joint sports centres can be set up combining all colleges in the district.The press report from Youth Welfare Officer, Mr. Pugazhendhi:
Applications are invited from colleges excelling sports activities in Vellore district for the project to set up a joint sports centres.
The names and other particulars of the sportspersons who have participated and won medals in various competitions such as inter-university sports competitions, Inter-regional-universities sports competition, and All India Inter-university sports competitions, sport completions conducted by National Sports federations can be listed and sent along with signatures of the college sports director and the principal.
Applications should be sent before 30th January.
Priority to set up joint sports centre will be given to colleges based on the existing sports facilities and the number of persons who have won medals during the period June, 2013 & May, 2014.

Application received will be sent to Tamil Nadu Sports development Centre after scrutiny.
