The state Minister for Higher Education, Mr. P. Palaniappan will inaugurate the counseling session for B Ed courses at the Lady Willington Education Development Company 8.30 AM today (Monday, 28th September).
Lady Willington Education Development Company is conducting the counselling session for the applicants for jining B Ed course for the Academic Year 2015-16 for the over 2000 seats in 21 Tamil Nadu state Government education colleges & government-funded colleges.
Counselling is scheduled from 28th September (today) till 5th october for 6 days. 7425 candidates have applied. Couselling for differently-abled candidates will be conducted on the 1st day (today, 28thSeptember) in the forenoon.
Counselling in the afternoon session will be for heirs of ex-military personnel. Counselling for Maths Group candidates will be conducted on 29th September. Counseling for Physics & Chemistry Groups will be conducted on 30th September.
Counselling for Botany & Zoology groups will be on 1st October. Counselling for English & Tamil groups will be on 3rd October. Counselling for History, Geography, and Commerce Groups will be conducted during the forenoon session on 5th October. Counselling for the Economics & Home Science Groups will be on the afternoon sessions on 5th October.
Letters of invitation for counselling session have been sent to the eligible candidates. Also, sms has been sent to the respective candidates’ cell-phones.
The candidates who have not received the invitation even though have secured above the cut-off marks can directly participate in the counseling as per the time0schedule allotted for different subject groups.
As per the recommendations made by NCTE (National Council for Teachers’ Education) the duration of the B Ed & M Ed courses have been converted into 2 years from the Academic Year 2015-16.
