The Central Minister for Telecommunications Mr. Ravishankar Prasad informed that over 100 Crore individuals have been issued Aadhar cards so far.
Talking to the press reporters, the minister observed that Aadhar Cards would provide easy identity for those who are economically backward in the society.
The minister informed the countries like Brazil & Mexico, adopting similar measures, were successful to a certain extent in reducing poverty in the state.
The Minister also informed that around 5 Lakh to 10 Lakh persons have been getting Aadhar cards daily and 100% Aadhar Card distribution will be completed shortly.
