As a breakage is detected in the Ponneri pipeline, water supply to various areas in Vellore may be affected. The corporation officials stated that this pipeline serves various parts of Vellore via Sathuvachari.
On Thursday, at around 10 in the morning, a breakage was noticed at the Ponneri pipeline near the Gandhi Nagar passage. Further to this, the corporation staff members made an alert and initiated the steps to patch up the affected area. Because of this recovery issue, the water supply may be affected for areas including Saidapet, Thottapalayam, Velapadi and few other parts of Vellore.
